Joris

Managing Director

It has been Joris’s ambition from a very early age to operate his own business. In working towards this goal Joris has completed his apprenticeship not only in Automotive Engineering but also in Automotive Electrical Engineering.

His mechanical and electrical ability has developed and grown immensely over the last 8 years. Joris completed his apprenticeship in a small Christchurch workshop where he worked on a variety of vehicles also gaining management skills during this time. To gain more experience Joris moved on to a dealership where he worked on late model vehicles gaining invaluable experience in both technical and management areas. To further his technical abilities in the electronics area Joris attended many advanced training seminars to assist in keeping up to date with the complexity of today’s motor vehicle. Joris moved from the dealership to a medium sized Christchurch business.

After gaining a lot of experience Joris started looking for his own business leading him to take over the existing Austin Prattley Performance & Tuning and renaming it Leading Edge Automotive in August 2006.

Joris believes in providing the customer with the best service possible so they drive away satisfied with the work done. He will continuously be striving to make Leading Edge Automotive the only place you would want to take your vehicle to and would appreciate any comments you may like to make.

Natasha

Accounts/Administrator

Natasha's role as a qualifed Accounting Technician focuses on the financial area of the business. She gained her accounting experience and qualification in her position at a Chartered Accountants office. She also has a background in customer service working for many years in the retail industry.

Natasha is Joris's wife and mother to their son Caleb. She also assists Joris in a vast array of tasks enjoying the variety, challenges and experience owning your own business requires.

Dale

Automotive Technician/Foreman

As the foreman and a Qualified Automotive Technician Dale's extensive knowledge and valuable experience in the automotive industry working on a variety of vehicles is an asset to the company.

Lydia

Administration

Joining the team in June 2008, Lydia's role is administration, invoicing and accounts.

Lydia has experience in customer service and administration roles and has gained knowledge of vehicles through her own personal interests. She brings to the team her energetic and positive personality.

Michael

Apprentice Technician

Michael joined Leading Edge Automotive in 2008 for work experience whilst completing a pre-trade course at the Southern Institute of Technology. Michael completed his pre-trade course in August 2008 and has started his apprenticeship with Leading Edge Automotive.

Mike

Automotive Technician

A Qualified Automotive Technician, Michael has gained a vast experience on a variety of vehicles working in a rural workshop. Currently working towards his Auto Electrical Qualification, Michael's ambition and friendly nature is an asset to the team.
